I’m guessing (as I had a few calls from some of you) that sewing machines were in Santa’s Sack this Christmas. NOW WHAT? Pleeeeeease don’t let them sit in the box, because the thought of having to get it out and set-up seems too much right now. I know… I’ve been there myself. BOOK IN to one of our Machine Basics Workshops this month and we’ll show them the basics and get them started. We have two of them at Bulimba and Brighton, plus planning for more during the new school term.
We all love to create fabulous things – but first come the basics. This 2.5hr class takes our students carefully through, machine parts, correct threading up, bobbin loading & safe operation. Learning and becoming confident with these basic set-up procedures is vital to ongoing sewing success. We’ll be practising various stitches, starting & stopping and if we have time, sew a bookmark to take home. Great for absolute beginners, it focuses on ‘machine operation’ helping them to set-up at home. We have new Janome machines for each student to use, but you are also welcome to bring your own if it is in perfect working order or brand new. (please no ‘toy’ machines).
So get the ball rolling and book in quick as there are only 5 students in a class. For age 9yrs+.
